- Since 2004, James Elliott has worked with the Los Angeles Police Department's Detective Training Unit (DTU), specializing in training law enforcement investigators in the latest Suspect Interrogation methods and Victim/Witness Interview techniques. James was originally hired by the DTU as a professional actor for training exercises requiring Role Players. Since that time, in addition to his continuing work as a DTU Role Player, he has become a CORE Course Facilitator/Trainer in the Unit.
- Between acting gigs, James enjoys serving his community as a Volunteer Investigator with the Pasadena Police Department's Missing Persons Unit. He has directly handled/investigated/closed many Missing Persons cases involving a wide variety of circumstances including juvenile runaways/throwaways, homeless/addicts, cold cases, suicides, elderly dementia, mental illness, and adult voluntary missing.
