Bob Slaymaker studied in MFA programs in writing and film at Columbia and NYU.
He’s written complete drafts of more than a dozen feature screenplays, and is raising money to direct his sixth short film, a warm-up for his first feature.
Prior to switching to filmmaking, Bob published many short stories and poems, including in The Christian Science Monitor, African American Review, The Malahat Review, Poetry Ireland Review, River Styx, The US Latino Review, The Texas Observer, The North American Review, and Essence.
