Biography

After gaining a BAFTA nomination and a European Film Award for her short film 'The Party' Andrea started her television career directing the second block of BBC3’s hit drama-thriller 'Clique', before lead directing mini-series 'Come Home' for BBC One, which won the RTS N.I. Award for Best Drama and an International Emmy nomination for actor Christopher Eccleston. 'Come Home' later enjoyed a revival on Netflix, landing at #3 on the UK Top 10 list.

Andrea was lead director on the acclaimed BBC series 'The Trial of Christine Keeler', which won the RTS S.W. award for Best Drama and was later acquired by HBO Max then Netflix (landing at #2 in the UK), and she was lead director on 'The Confessions of Frannie Langton' - a four-part drama for ITV and Britbox adapted from the award-winning novel. She directed a standalone episode of AMC’s anthology series 'Soulmates'.

Andrea was executive producer and director on 'Time' (S2) for BBC One, starring Bella Ramsey, Jodie Whittaker and Tamara Lawrance, which was described as ‘world-beating drama’ in The Guardian - winning a Broadcasting Press Guild award for Best Mini-Series and several RTS awards for the cast. She directed episodes 4,5 and 6 of 'The Girlfriend', which landed on Amazon Prime Video to rave reviews and took the #1 spot in the UK and US for several weeks. It was nominated for Best Limited Series at both the Golden Globes and the Critics Choice Awards.

Andrea went on to direct episodes of HBO’s Game of Thrones spin-off, 'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms', S2.
