Biography

Shashona Brooks attended Sir Francis Drake High School in San Anselmo, California. She grew up in San Anselmo there with her younger brother Milo. Shashona took tap and jazz classes and performed in many plays, including "Singing in the Rain", where she played Kathy Seldon (the female lead). After high school she was accepted to UC Santa Cruz, and blossomed in the Drama Program, with the lead in "Cinderella".

Shashona Brooks is an actress, singer and wellness coach who graduated from the University of California Santa Cruz School of Theatre Arts. As a company member of Shakespeare Santa Cruz for multiple seasons, she worked opposite Tony-winning director Pam MacKinnon and Paul Whitworth of the Royal Shakespeare Company. As an actor, she has collaborated on films and episodic series with Finite Films, as well as sketch comedy shorts with The Kids' Table, Inwonderland Films, and the Tin Can Brothers, in projects that have amassed over a million YouTube views. She has produced and acted in multiple productions with the Hollywood Fringe Festival. Brooks is also the owner and founder of Leap and Bloom Wellness, a full-service wellness coaching center that combines her expertise in health/wellness, nutrition, yoga, and dance fitness.
