Chelsey Dubiel would walk for miles, crossing creeks and climbing
forested hills to reach the video store from her distant home in the
country. Loaded with a week's worth of cinema bounty, Dubiel would
return home and fall into a world of imagination. Her innate creativity
has urged her to follow this film desire. Combining a strong visual
sense, a background in dance and a whimsical, yet analytical
perspective on the world, Dubiel started making films that are graceful
and engrossing. Presently, she is in the film directing program at
UCLA, crafting poetic pieces about people's connections with nature.
