Biography

Min Bae received his B.F.A., in Sculpture, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, South Korea, In 1995, he was granted a Certificate in Cinematography & Multimedia, ESEC (Ecole Supérieure d'Etudes Cinématographiques), Paris, France. In 2000, Min Bae received an M.F.A., in Film Production, Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.

While at Concordia University , he won the 1998 Moliflex Award (Best film production of the year) at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema, Concordia University

Min Bae, Cactus Film Cinematics® Founder, has been avidly devoted to cinematography and filmmaking since 1990. He has expertise and training in film production, cinematography, and fine arts: a reflection of education received in Montreal, France, and Korea. He has been a collaborator on several award-winning independent films and has also seen his films "Off Sync" (2000), "Where are We" (2004), and the recent experimental film "Qausuittuq" (2020), which has been showcased and recognized in festivals worldwide. The accomplished filmmaker continues his career as the writer, director, and cinematographer in developing the feature-length documentary film, Reset (Fall 2021), set in Seoul, Korea.
