Mini bio

  • Emanuele Pica is an Italian-born filmmaker based in Los Angeles, known for his grounded approach to suspense and character-driven storytelling. His work spans thrillers, dramas, and genre films that blend realism, emotion, and tension.

Pica is producing several upcoming projects, including the noir thriller Jack Clayborne, in financing and casting and set to film in Los Angeles, and Mossad: Commission of Inquiry, an espionage drama adapted from the novel by award-winning journalist Michael Sfaradi. Additional projects in development include Operation Grim Beeper, also based on Sfaradi's work, and The Jersey Devil: Mischief Night, a supernatural thriller inspired by New Jersey folklore.

His feature The Box, a claustrophobic horror-thriller starring Christy St. John and Bryan Scamman, drew attention for its minimalist style and taut direction, following the success of his earlier feature Stranger, which continues to stream on major platforms.

Originally from Rome, Pica studied Film at Roma Tre University and earned an M.F.A. from Griffith University in Australia. Before relocating to Los Angeles, he worked with Fandango in Italy as a script editor. His early work received recognition at international festivals including the Rome Independent Film Festival (RIFF).

Pica's films are marked by precise visual storytelling and a focus on moral and psychological depth. He continues to develop projects that bridge European sensibility with American cinematic storytelling.
