Biography

The actor was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in September 2022. Carrillo battled the disease for nearly three years, undergoing two surgeries and two cycles of chemotherapy. Despite the severity of his condition, he remained active and committed to various theater and television projects.

Throughout his career, he has played a variety of roles both on stage and in front of the camera, earning recognition from the public and his peers for his versatility and professionalism.

Óscar Carrillo was a Peruvian actor and director of theatre, television and Peruvian cinema. In 2021, he played Ramiro Zevallos in "Luz de luna" (Moonlight), and in 2024, he took on the antagonist role of Marcial Montero in "Tu nombre y el mío" (Your Name and Mine). His ability to bring to life both endearing characters and complex villains made him a familiar and beloved face.
