Biography

South London-born director Jennifer began her career as an editor on scripted comedy shows such as The League of Gentlemen and Cuckoo. She has since built a strong and multi-genre body of work as a director, ranging from the children's fantasy epic The Snow Spider to the hard-hitting drama Rules of the Game, starring Maxine Peake and Alison Steadman. Her return to comedy came with the Disney+ and Hulu superhero series Extraordinary, which she directed across both seasons. Series one was nominated for a BAFTA for Best Comedy, series two won Best Comedy at the Venice TV Awards, and both seasons hold a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Her debut horror feature, Rose: A Love Story, premiered at the BFI London Film Festival and went on to earn multiple nominations including and BIFA, and won Best Feature at the Barnes Film Festival in 2021. Jennifer was also nominated for the New Visions Award for Rose at the 2021 Sitges Film Festival. Recent projects include ITV's award-winning second season of Malpractice and serving as the lead director on the BBC/BritBox adaptation of The Other Bennet Sister - a funny, emotional and tonally rich re imagining of Austen's world.
