- Born in Central America (Panama) & raised in the United States, Nirav is an award winning American director, actor & writer of East Indian descent. Although he studied architecture throughout his educational career, Nirav began his foundation with theatre & the North Indian classical dance form of Kathak. In 2019 Nirav was named as one of HBO's Asian Pacific American Visionaries for his short film Halwa, co-directed by Gayatri Bajpai. As a part of the Armed With A Camera fellowship supported by Visual Communications & The Academy, Nirav's next film Thank You, Come Again went on to become a case study for immigration within scholarly circles such as Rutgers, Brandeis & UCLA. Nominated by the Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment, Nirav partnered with the non profit School On Wheels to direct and co-write an animated short film for the CBS Leadership Pipeline Challenge.
