Satoko Ishida is a prominent Japanese film producer and executive at Shochiku, one of Japan's oldest and most prestigious film production, distribution, and exhibition companies. Known for her keen eye for compelling narratives, she has established herself as a key creative force behind critically acclaimed Japanese dramas, psychological thrillers, and genre-defining horror films.

Throughout her career, Ishida has frequently collaborated with leading figures in contemporary Japanese cinema. She has built a strong professional relationship with visionary auteur Kiyoshi Kurosawa, producing his acclaimed suspense thriller Creepy (2016) which debuted at the Berlin International Film Festival as well as his 2026 historical feature, The Samurai and the Prisoner, which earned a selection in the Cannes Premiere section at the Cannes Film Festival.

In addition to her festival-circuit achievements, Ishida has successfully spearheaded prominent mainstream and psychological thriller projects.
