David Guiraud(I)

Born in 1984, David Guiraud lives in the Alpes-Maritimes, France. After studying film at the Sorbonne, he directed his first short film, Le Tonneau des Danaïdes, a dreamlike piece selected by over 40 international festivals. In 2012, he completed L'Assistante, tackling sexual assistance, later released on Netflix in 2016, followed by En Proie, about pedophilia, pre-bought by France 2. He has taken part in programs like the GREC, the DUO program of La Maison du Film Court, and Le Groupe Ouest. A graduate in film editing, he has edited several shorts and the Georgian-French feature Brides, awarded at the 2014 Berlinale. He is currently developing his first feature, written by his brother Jérémie Guiraud. In 2008, he co-founded Adastra Films, where he serves as artistic director, overseeing projects from writing to post. He helped produce LaRoy (three awards at Deauville 2023), Brûle le Sang (San Sebastian), The Strange Ones (SXSW), and 4 shorts selected at Sundance.
