Biography

Shawn Montgomery was born on April 22, 1985 in Elgin, Illinois, USA. He is a producer and production manager, known for Retribution (2023), Baghead (2023) and UglyDolls (2019).

Grew up in Woodstock, IL, which was the location for the hit comedy Groundhog Day. Shawn met Bill Murray one day when walking near the set. It's also the same town where Orson Welles attended school and performed at the Woodstock Opera House as a boy.

Shawn is an Eagle Scout, Boy Scouts of America's highest honor. He is the fifth member and third generation of his family to receive the award.

Decided he wanted to be a filmmaker after making one featuring action figures with his grandma's camcorder.

Insists that he had the original idea to spoof the movie Scream and shot multiple scenes before Scary Movie came to fruition.
