Sara Sidner was born on May 31, 1972 in Gainesville, Florida, USA. She is a producer, known for CNN Breaking News: Revolution in Egypt - President Mubarak Steps Down (2011), The Fourth in America (2024) and CNN Breaking News: Libya Revolution - Rebels Enter Tripoli and Gadhafi Compound (2011).

On January 8, 2024, during the end of CNN News Central, Sidner revealed that she had been diagnosed with stage III breast cancer, even as she continues in her network duties. She said that she is in her second month of chemotherapy treatments and will undergo radiation and a double mastectomy.
