- John-Patrick Driscoll was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania, and is a dual citizen of the United States and Ireland. Known for his versatility and grounded emotional intensity, he works across theatre, film, and television. He earned his MFA in Acting from the University of South Carolina, where he trained extensively in classical and contemporary performance before moving into a career that spans both coasts.
Across more than two decades in the industry, John-Patrick has built a reputation for his disciplined work ethic and his commitment to truthful, detail-driven character work. He has performed and directed in regional theatres, worked with university programs, and appeared in a broad range of screen projects, including film and network television. He approaches every role as an opportunity to push deeper into craft, and every production as a collaboration built on respect and generosity.
In 2019, John-Patrick survived a major industrial forklift accident - an event that reshaped his life and perspective. The years that followed were defined by intense rehabilitation and rebuilding, both physically and artistically. Rather than stepping away from the work, he approached recovery with the same discipline that has guided his career. Learning to walk again and returning to performing became a testament to his determination, resilience, and dedication to storytelling.
He credits this chapter of his life with sharpening his focus as an artist. It deepened his sense of gratitude, strengthened his presence on stage and screen, and reinforced his belief in helping others find their own path in the industry. John-Patrick now mentors younger performers, supports developing theatre programs, and works to create safer, more collaborative creative environments wherever he goes.
Today, he continues to balance on-camera work with stage projects, directing, and teaching. His experiences - personal, professional, and physical - inform the grounded intensity and clarity he brings to his roles. He considers himself incredibly fortunate to still be here, still creating, and still moving forward - and he remains dedicated to lifting up the artists around him.
He is grateful for the work and opportunities life has to offer.

- John-Patrick, is a NAUI and PADI trained Rescue Scuba Diver. He cut his teeth on the waters of Lake Erie where the storms can become overwhelming to large and small vessels alike. The lake itself is very shallow so storms can have quite an impact. There are more shipwrecks in Lake Erie than the Bermuda Triangle, and visibility in the lake - especially during a storm - is exceptionally low. On his 241st dive, JP was able to dive on a wreck off the coast of South Carolina. "The water was so clear, and there were so many fish, I was literally crying in my mask!" he said. He also fed an octopus that was sitting in the cockpit of a F-100 that was submerged as part of a reef rebuilding project. "It looked like the Octopus was trying to fly the plane at one point," JP said.
