LJ Jaxon is an American R&B/Soul recording artist, songwriter, composer, and producer originally from Seattle, Washington. A premier multi-hyphenate creative, Jaxon uniquely balanced a prolific music career alongside elite winter athletics as a two time World Team Hot Dog Skiing Champion. Under the eight-year guidance of Hall of Fame legend Bob Salerno, he competed in Lake Tahoe's historic Wayne Wong World Hot Dog Championships and Festival, a benefit for Child Onset Diabetes, alongside Hall of Famer Glenn Plake, legends "Wild" Bill O'Leary, Bob Howard, and Olympian Travis Cabral. During his athletic career, Jaxon was backed by elite factory sponsors including Marker LTD, Marker Ski Bindings, K2 Skis, and Lange.
Jaxon launched his professional music journey in Manhattan, Seattle, and then L.A. under the guidance of industry executives Jeff Aldrich SVP of A&R at Warner Brothers Records and RCA Records, Kathy Spanberger, President and COO Peer Music Publishing, and Grammy-nominated producer Laythan Armor. Operating independently as an ASCAP songwriter and publisher under LJ Jackson and LJ Jaxon Publishing, he achieved international radio rotation for his single "We Are Souls" co-written and produced with Benjamin Black, across Europe and North America via London promoter Di Lee of Soul Choonz. The track showcases guitar titan and Louisiana Hall of Famer, Greg Wright, of The Jacksons and Fleetwood Mac, and renowned bassist and producer Justin Meldal Johnsen of Beck, Nine Inch Nails, and M83. Jaxon's musical score anchored the brand's debut across 16 distinct commercial spots and broadcast in 26 countries. His traditional film credits include co-composing the "Love Conquers All" for comedy feature 'Who Made the Potatoe Salad?', 2006 and acting in the short film 'America's Phoneless', 2008. Merging his athletic and musical expertise, Jaxon also served as a regular resident lifestyle, conditioning, and ski expert on ESPN Radio 710 AM's "The Experience with LaFern Cusack."
