Tereza Nvotová is a Slovak director and screenwriter based between Prague and New York. Her latest feature Father (2025) premiered at the Venice Film Festival, won Best Film awards in Zurich and Stockholm, was shortlisted for the European Film Awards, and selected as Slovakia’s official submission for the Academy Awards. Her previous film Nightsiren (2022) won the Golden Leopard in Locarno, while her debut Filthy (2017) premiered in Rotterdam. Both films were distributed internationally. She is a graduate of FAMU in Prague, where she also teaches directing, and is a member of the European Film Academy.
