- Gergö Somogyvaari, born in 1978, after finishing his studies from journalism and photography, he went to study cinematography at the University of Theatre and Film Arts (Budapest, Hungary). Since he directed one short and four feature documentaries, he takes part in various film productions as DOP: fiction, non-fiction and commercials. He has experience of working as second unit DOP in fiction and commercial service productions. Tile Mail (Carta Azulejo), a documentary earned him the Best Documentary Director and Cinematographer Award at the Hungarian Film Week in 2009. Since 2015 he works as a shoot/edit with the local BBC correspondent Nick Thorpe on various TV works.
