Cecilia Verheyden (°1985) is a well known and experienced director of successful film and television series. In Belgium, her home country, Verheyden directed several episodes of the comedy show What If? (Emmy Award - 2014), and she showrunned and directed the first season of the most popular Flemish web series to date, wtFOCK. She also directed the feature film Behind The Clouds (2016), which became a huge box office success in Belgian theaters.
Verheyden has been making her mark internationally as well. She directed the hit series Undercover S2 (2020, Netflix, Eén); as well as its spin-off feature film Ferry (2021, Netflix). She also co-directed and showrunned the series Rough Diamonds (2023, Netflix, Eén).
In 2025, Verheyden's third feature film Skiff was released, which she co-wrote with Vincent Vanneste. The film was produced by Mirage, a Brussels-based production company. Following its premiere at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, the film travels around the world and is released in cinemas across Europe (Belgium, Germany, Sweden, The Netherlands etc.).
