Gavin Alexander Hammon comes across as a naturally intriguing character. He has an alluring ability to let go of fixed identities in his work which seems to have given him the advantage of embodying enigmatic roles and unusually complex characters.

Born to South African parents in Münich, Germany, he would've adopted his naturally international persona early on having moved from country to country as a child. At the age of three, his family moved to Paris before settling in the South of France while he attended a boarding school in Scotland. Gavin appears to have been an assiduous individual at school who demonstrated the same deep dedication on the field that he does to his art now. Investing his time in excelling at several sports from tennis, soccer, squash, rugby, field hockey, and cricket seems to have gained him acknowledgment for sportsmanship since he played in trials for Scottish Schools Rugby and won the British Fives championship.

His undeniable love for theater is thought to have been discovered while performing in Charlie's Aunt or Black Coffee by Agatha Christie in his youth which led him to pursue the calling to study Drama at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. His journey has landed him an array of diverse roles in television, film, theater, and commercials. His most recent feature film, Given Life, where he portrays lead character, Adrien Medens, is due to be released soon. Gavin is gifted at personating provocative and engaging characters that seem to require an emotional investment to master and tend to share a nomadic spirit in common. This trait of his comes across strongly in his roles as CIA Agent Conover in Blindspot, International businessman, Reed Wagner, on One Life To Live, French Mercenary Devlin on General Hospital, and French drug dealer, Laurent, on Younger. In 2018 he also co-wrote, produced and directed his first short "Waiting for Lichtenstein" demonstrating some serious versatility in his work.

Gavin has shown a keen interest in Terry Schreiber of New York City as a source of inspiration and insight. It seems that when this elusive character isn't immersing himself in the mind of his role on set, he is devoted to his exemplary role as a father to his daughter. He lives in New York City but appears to move back and forth between Los Angeles and the City for work.
