Biography

Dan was born in Providence, Rhode Island to Ray and Linda Roy on the 17th of January in 1983. Before moving to New Jersey at the age of 3, Dan helped his dad build a deck and a swing set. That aforementioned move led Dan to grow up in the small town of Long Valley, New Jersey. Sports were his passion, playing soccer, basketball, baseball and tennis at very high levels. In fact, Dan was one of two tri-sport travel athletes in his grade (baseball, soccer and basketball). In high school Dan also performed in the school musical for 4 years. Dan then attended Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. He majored in Communications: Radio/TV/Film and Minored in Theatre. Dan also enjoyed being Campus Editor of the school paper his junior and senior year. Upon entering the real world, Dan worked at a summer camp and then an IT staffing firm before landing a job at Sirius Satellite Radio. At Sirius Dan worked directly with notables such as Cipha Sounds, Jamie Foxx, Barbara Walters and Candace Bushnell.
