Mini bio

  • Nathaniel Bacon is a Toronto theatre star and Canadian film & television actor. He is also an accomplished vocalist.

Born in Lindsay, Ontario, Nathaniel was raised in the rural countryside of the Kawartha Lakes.

He holds a B.A. in Theatre from the University of Toronto as well as a diploma in Acting from Sheridan College.

In his 20's, he worked widely as a model, appearing in the first ever "America's Next Top Model: Live" and walking the runway in shows for Toronto Fashion Week, TOM and Fashion Art Toronto. He also starred in print campaigns for companies such as "Jean Machine" and "Fido".

In 2012, Nathaniel landed his first substantial acting roles with guest spots on "The L.A Complex" for the CW and "Transporter: The Series" for HBO Max.

That same year, he took to the stage at 4th Line Theatre and received rave reviews for his first starring role, in the debut production of "St. Francis of Millbrook" by Dora Award-winning playwright Sky Gilbert. Since then, he's remained a presence in Canadian theatre and TV.

In 2015, Nathaniel won Best Actor (musical) at the Broadway World Toronto Awards for playing the title role in "Hedwig And The Angry Inch" (at The Lower Ossington Theatre). This lead to a gig opening for Tegan And Sara at the World Pride closing ceremonies. Nathaniel followed this success with a number of plays, even returning to The L.O.T in 2018 to play Dr. Frank N' Furter in a highly successful production of "The Rocky Horror Show".

He made his feature film debut in the Jason Momoa sci/fi-horror movie "Debug" from Gemini Award nominee David Hewlett. In recent years, he's added more films to his resume, including the Denise Richards family film "Wickensburg" and it's sequel "Return To Wickensburg".

Nathaniel's extensive television credits include guest spots on shows like "The Expanse", "Saving Hope", "Reign", "Incorporated", "Shadowhunters", "Falling Water", "The Kids In The Hall" and more.

In the pandemic era, Nathaniel joined the indie pop group "Manifesto" and recorded several songs, performing many concerts throughout the next couple of years.

In 2023, he became an ACTRA Award nominee for his work on season 2 of the independent series "Pink Is In".

The following year, Nathaniel premiered another collaboration with Sky Gilbert, a queer musical comedy called "My Little Brony" which had a successful, well-received run.

This Spring, Nathaniel played The Emcee in Theatre TO's production of "Cabaret" and he spent the Summer in Montreal in a new play "Max And Aaron Write A Musical" at the Segal Centre. He recently appeared as a guest star on the classic Canadian series "Murdoch Mysteries".

    Nathaniel resides in Toronto, Canada.
