    Norman Fisher-Jones

Mini bio

  • With a history as recording artist since the eighties initially in Luxuria, the band he formed with Magazine's Howard Devoto (recording 2 albums) and more significantly as founding member of UK electronica group/production team Apollo 440 since 1990, (recording 5 albums). Noko came to the movie world via extensive use of the group's music in a long list of films and TV shows, adverts and computer game soundtracks (see Apollo Four Forty IMDb page). The group were commissioned to record the theme to 1998's "Lost In Space" remake of the 1960's TV series directed by Stephen Hopkins, which was a hi-octane reworking of John Williams' original TV theme performed by the group and went on to be a hit record internationally. Apollo 440 also supplied the theme to "Charlie's Angels 2000" directed by McG. (this was used again in the 2003 sequel "Charlie's Angels : Full Throttle"). Noko's first full feature movie score was for French director Eric Valette's "Une Affaire D'Etat" (State Affairs) in 2009. He went on to score Valette's next movie "La Proie" (The Prey) in 2011. He also appeared on-screen in cameo roles in both films, as a street accordionist in "Une Affair D'Etat" and as a Harpsichord player in a prison recital scene in "La Proie". Noko continues to record and play live with Apollo 440 and since 2009 has recorded and toured as a member of the reformed Magazine, recording 2011's "No Thyself"album.
