Kristina Lorent Goztola is a French-Hungarian actress based in Paris, known for her work in French arthouse cinema and international productions. Kristina was born on July 6, 1985 in the small town of Hungary, near the Austrian border. She comes from an intellectually diverse background; her father was a physics engineer who designed aircraft in his spare time-one of his works was even exhibited at the Museum of Transport in Budapest-while her mother worked as a medical assistant. On her maternal side, she has Austrian ancestors; family lore tells of her great-great-grandfather, a hussar, who brought his future bride home from Vienna on horseback. These ancestors are believed to have originated from the Basilicata or Calabria regions of Italy before settling in Austria, which accounts for Kristina's distinct Mediterranean features. She made her debut as a producer in the short movie Les Recherches Continuent 2018. The film - was shot in Paris and in which she played the female leading role - received the main prize of Bujtor Istvan Film Festival in Hungary (2018) after that the film was presented in West Los Angeles and North Hollywood as well. For her acting in the film she received the Best Actress Prize by Sweden Film Awards (2020). In 2019 at Cannes Film Festival, as actress she represented the beautiful collection of the world famous Israeli fashion designer Michal Negrin. "Le Collier" / "The Necklace" french-hungarian co-production was also shooted in Paris, of which she was the protagonist and producer (2020). The film received the Best Cinematography, the Best Director Award - Peter Halmi and the Special Jury Prize in India, Bollywood (2020). In 2022 the movie won the Best Experimental Film category at the Cannes Independent Film Festival (CIFF). In 2024, she founded the Paris-based film production company Gold Wood Pictures, where she continues to serve as the founding president. In 2025, Kristina released a new feature film, created in collaboration with Péter Korday. Flottant légèrement dans les Champs des Sphères ("Soft Floating in the Fields of Spheres") is a mystical drama exploring the hidden details of a tragic accident, inspired by personal experiences. Originally conceived as a therapeutic writing project, the book was eventually adapted into a film based on Korday's idea. Her first full-length French arthouse feature, Flottant légèrement dans les Champs des Sphères / Soft Floating in the Fields of Spheres, had its world premiere on November 9, 2025, at the International Film Festival of The Hague (IFFH), where it was given a prominent screening in the festival's closing block, just before the awards ceremony. In the production, Kristina played the lead role and also contributed as a producer. The film won the Alternative - Mystery of Soul - Experimental award, Kristina Goztola Lorent received the Best Actress award at France's Red Movie Awards for her performance, and the production additionally earned the Best Cinematography recognition.
