Biography

Rebecca Mahnkopf was born in the small town of Bückeburg, Germany. Soon, she planned her escape to the big city. After some time in Melbourne and Hamburg, she finally made it to Berlin and found a new home in television. She only planned to do a short internship at the German print and TV magazine DER SPIEGEL. Well, that's not what happened. She stayed at Spiegel TV and Spiegel Online for 12 years, working as a TV News producer and reporter.

But small-town life called once again. In Ludwigsburg, she studied screenwriting at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.

These days she is back in Berlin working as a screenwriter and journalist. She promised herself never to leave the big city ever again.
