Biography

Bronia Clair was born on August 8, 1906 in Brest, Belarus. She was an actress and writer, known for Le Voyage imaginaire (1926), La galerie des monstres (1924) and Au théâtre ce soir (1966). She was married to René Clair. She died in 2004 in Paris, France.

Model for Poiret, she was Raymond Radiguet's last lover. She became a translator of English works.

In December 1924, Dada artist Francis Picabia introduced Bronia to director René Clair after a screening of Entr'acte (1924). She thought Clair's film was funny. They married in 1928.
