Violet Bonham Carter was born on 15 April 1887 in Hampstead, London, England, UK. She was married to Maurice Bonham Carter. She died on 19 February 1969.
Not only was she the daughter of Prime Minister H.H. Asquith, she was also a close friend of subsequent Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill. Churchill is featured as a character in the film The King's Speech (2010), in which he shares scenes with Violet's grand-daughter, Helena Bonham Carter.
