Biography

Lizzy Aumeier was born on January 20, 1964 in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz, Bavaria, Germany. She was an actress, known for Murggs (2013), Südstadtgeflüster (2016) and Dahoam is Dahoam (2007). She was married to Andreas Stock. She died on October 10, 2024 in Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany.

In 2010 she received the special prize of the German Cabaret Prize, and in 2022 she received the Bavarian Order of Merit.

Lizzy Aumeier was the founder and member of various ensembles, such as the Ensemble variable, the Pegnitzschäfer sound concepts and Lilienweiss - Bavaria's only women's salon orchestra - later Lizzy and the White Lilies.

During her studies with Nikola Filipov at the Meistersinger Conservatory in Nuremberg, Aumeier received a scholarship from the Bavarian Radio. She later became the first woman to graduate in double bass at the Meistersinger Conservatory in Nuremberg. This training was followed by jazz studies. She then worked as a freelance double bassist and cabaret artist.

She was considered the discovery of Bavarian music cabaret, which is reflected in various Bavarian cabaret and two cultural awards.
