As a teenager Keith was hired at a theme park, the Historical Crossroads Village, as a musician at the opera house, and as a "train robber" where he got to ride horses and shoot real guns with blanks and use fake blood.

Keith's father, Linval K. Fleetwood MD was appointed U.S. National Police Surgeon by the Bill Clinton administration, where he promoted health and safety, and provided counseling to families of police officers killed in the line of duty. His service continued through the George W. Bush administration. Doctor Fleetwood was also knighted in 1996.
