- Anita Bryant, Tony Perkins and Paul Cameron are the ones who began this fear-mongering of gays, now Trans people. Let's not forget in the '70s through the '90s they pushed the false narrative that all gay men love child molestation. You can bet your ass the Family Research Council and groups like it are behind all this hysteria on bathrooms. They lobby politicians--presidents included--and even churches to strike fear into their constituents and congregations about gays/transgender people. All this push-back comes from these groups that trickle down to conservative leaders, then forms people's views in one way or the other. We are all indoctrinated throughout life by these leaders. Just like the Republicans and [Donald Trump] have grabbed onto the fear and hysteria for terror attacks. They have turned it into political gain to get votes from scared people. You have more chance being struck by lightning and swept up in a tornado directly after than a trans woman attacking a woman in a bathroom! Stop the persecution of transgender people!
