Biography

Ben McDonnell is an actor known for his work in film, television, and commercial projects. He also host a weekly Podcast "It's Ben A Week".

After studying with The Groundlings and acting coach Lesly Kahn in Los Angeles, McDonnell appeared in the feature film "Concussion" alongside Will Smith. His credits also include the Amazon project "Class Act" and the short film "Blind Love."

In addition to acting, McDonnell has produced and directed independent projects, including the documentary "I," which chronicles his personal journey and experiences. Outside of the entertainment industry, he is an accomplished horseman with decades of riding experience and a background in ranch life.

McDonnell lives on a ranch near Dallas, Texas, where he spends much of his time riding horses, caring for animals, and developing new creative projects.

Began horseback riding at the age of 9 and currently owns two horses, Famous Policy (Fame) and TJO Firewater Okie (Kermit).

Was featured on an episode of the Ellen DeGeneres Show (2003) when he first moved to Los Angeles in 2015.

Formerly a professional barrel racer, Ben traveled the country competing on various circuits: the National Barrel Horse Association, Better Barrel Races, the Northern Region Futurity and the United Barrel Racing Association.

Although he mostly rides horses for pleasure now, Ben remains a fitness aficionado. He has become a professional fly boarder, certified yoga instructor and is a SoulCycle enthusiast.
