- Bruce is a Director / Producer who travels between Cape Town, Dubai, and Portugal. His knowledge of shooting in these regions plays a big role for producers looking to shoot in these regions.
Bruce co owns a production company Boomtown Films which services long form projects, TV series and commercials. Boomtown South Africa has raised several million dollars as rebates for films shooting in South Africa.
In 2022 Bruce joined Boomtown-productions Dubai to develop 'long form' projects for Dubai and Saudi markets. The first of these is a TV series which the company is already working on alongside US Producer Samad Davis.
As a director Bruce has several films which have had Theatrical releases :- Samson the Biblical epic with cast Rutger Hauer, Jackson Rathbone, Billy Zane and Taylor James. Samson released in over 800 theaters in the US,
Bruce's break-out film as a Director, The Perfect Wave launched actor Scott Eastwood in his first leading role. The film released theatrically in South Africa, US and UK. The Perfect Wave won best film, best cinematography, best feature film and was selected to represent the International Christian Film Festival at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014.
2020 the year of lock down, Bruce created and directed a short film Beat the Curve which released in festivals around the world, winning Best Director, Best Film.
Bruce also directed several short films Beggar Boy, Sex Tourism, Loverboy, Labor and Domestic Servitude which are also based on biographical stories of captivity. All these shorts have won festivals globally, including a NOMINATION for a Humanitarian award for excellence in film for Bruce.
Bruce has also produced several documents-features , Last Known Co ordinates, Ocean Driven, The Parlotones, The Springbok Nude Girls and Buli which are all biographical films.
Most recently, Bruce was the lead Executive Producer for COP28 held in Dubai.
Work in progress is a doc-drama 'eye of the storm' which is a behind closed doors look at COP28.
