Streaming Stars, Then and Now

A talent scout and record producer in the music industry, Mara Maionchi made her television debut in 2008 as a judge in the Italian version of "X Factor". In addition to seven editions of "X Factor", she has been on the jury of other talent shows such as "Amici di Maria De Filippi", "Io canto" and "Sanremo Young". Out of the television world, in 2010 she made her debut as an actress in the comedy film "The Santa Claus Gang", and in 2017 she played the hairdresser in "Il BarLume". In the same year she was one of the contestants of "Celebrity MasterChef Italia", and since 2019 she has been part of the jury of "Italia's Got Talent".

She was the first woman to have an important role in the Italian discography. She discovered many Italian singers, such as <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0620912/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Gianna Nannini</a>, <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm3183432/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Mango</a> and <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm1275567/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Tiziano Ferro</a>.

Has two daughters, Giulia (b.1977) and Camilla (b.1981).
