- Armin Miladi is an award-winning Iranian-Australian Writer/Director/Producer & Film Distributor known for championing bold, culturally resonant cinema. After earning a degree in Engineering from Tehran University, he turned to film criticism before graduating from AFTRS (Australian Film, TV & Radio School) in writing & directing. He has since made several acclaimed shorts and documentaries, and is currently (in 2025) developing multiple feature projects as both writer/director and producer. In 2010, he co-founded the Iranian Film Festival Australia (IFFA), now in its 12th year, and launched the Iranian Film Festival New York in 2018. In 2015, he founded Daricheh Cinema, a pioneering distributor of Iranian films across Australia and North America. Armin has collaborated with the Australian Embassy in Tehran to curate major cultural events, including Australian Film Week. His work bridges cultures, expands global access to Iranian cinema, and reflects a deep belief in storytelling as a path to greater understanding and connection.
