Biography

Dan Carrillo Levy is a writer, director, and producer whose work spans film, television, and branded content. He co-founded the creative studio Moxie 88, where he co-created, co-wrote, and produced projects for Disney, Nickelodeon, and Paramount. His credits there include the Disney Channel series Ultra Violet & Blue Demon, an original animated series for Nickelodeon, a live-action reboot of a major Nickelodeon franchise, and a feature adaptation for Paramount based on a bestselling novel. He also co-wrote original screenplays for features such as The Demon and Boiler Bunny, helping shape a slate of genre-driven projects across platforms.

Earlier in his career, Carrillo Levy produced the feature Sin Ella for Disney and created El Reporterito, a broadcast segment for Televisa coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, which was recognized by the International Olympic Committee. He has also directed music videos and commercial campaigns for global brands.

His directorial debut, Zero Hour, written by Academy Award nominee and Cannes winner Guillermo Arriaga and starring Camilla Belle and Jaime Camil, was selected by more than 75 international film festivals, including Palm Springs, Morelia International Film Festival, and a curated program during the Cannes Film Festival. The film received multiple awards across the global festival circuit.

Carrillo Levy develops original work through Kill Your Darlings, a boutique creative banner focused on bold, cinematic storytelling. He is a member of the Writers Guild of America and the Producers Guild of America.
