- Michelle Stephenson was born on January 3, 1977 in the UK.
- Is known to fans as 'The Sixth Spice Girl'. She was part of the band (when it was called 'Touch') for the first six months when they had fully formed. She was replaced by Emma Bunton after she dropped out.
- Once stated in an interview, (whether serious or joking) that if she was to continue with the Spice Girls into massive success, the name she would go by would be Mel S. (which would be three Mels and her being the one who's not Melanie) and the nickname she would prefer to be called would be "Sexy Spice".
- She is currently married, lives in London and still works in the music industry.
- During the late '90s, articles about The Spice Girls rarely --if ever mentioned Stephenson. Since the group's first parting in 2000, Stephenson gets mentioned more often and a few of the Spice Girls themselves sometimes talk about her.
- She has stated that she left the Spice Girls (six months after they had formed) because her mother got sick with breast cancer and she felt she needed to support her. Other Spice Girl members also state that Stephenson got along the --least well with them.
- [on leaving the 'Spice Girls' early]: Course I regret I'm not a multi-millionaire like them. But at the time I left the group I knew I was doing the right thing - I still think it was the right thing.
