Biography

Trying to marry his passion for cars and cameras, AJ began shooting automotive videos with his high school friends. His work quickly caught the attention of local dealerships, and at 22 he left his job at Apple to pursue filmmaking full-time. He founded Advent Films and soon became a trusted director for some of the world’s most prestigious brands, including Ferrari, McLaren, Aston Martin, Red Bull, Amazon, Riot Games, and more.

After being rejected by every film school he applied to, AJ was accepted into the DGA as one of the Guild's youngest directors at age 27. Known for high-energy visuals and an unforgiving attention to detail, he specializes in ambitious, action-driven commercials featuring vehicle stunts, pyrotechnics, skydiving, and low-flying helicopters. Pretty much anything that freaks his parents out.

When he’s not directing films or driving cars, AJ is a sought-after speaker for leading technology and creative brands including Adobe, RED, Fujinon, Dell, and NVIDIA. A TEDx speaker, he regularly delivers keynote presentations at major industry events around the world, including Adobe MAX and NAB.
