Kate Hackett, ACE is an Emmy and ACE Eddie Award winning editor.
Her recent work includes the documentary SALLY, about the life of astronaut Dr. Sally Ride, directed by Cristina Costantini. It premieres at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. Other recent work includes the A24 / Netflix release Open Wide, the critically acclaimed Netflix series Cheer and Last Chance U, and the Sundance / SXSW Feature Documentary Half The Picture.
She was the 2018 Sundance Institute Sally Menke Editing Fellow.
Her short film Oleander, which she wrote and directed, stars Emily Robinson, Peri Gilpin and Jennifer Lafleur. It premiered at HollyShorts Film Festival and won Best Director, Short Film at The Method Fest Film Festival.
