- After qualifying with a law degree in his twenties, he joined United Artists Films' subsidiary record label as a business affairs manager.
From there, he moved on to CBS Records International, later to become Sony Music, as VP of the company's music publishing division. He then established Sony Music's Licensed Repertoire Division, working with artists as diverse as Oasis, Suede, Primal Scream, and The Gypsy Kings.
In the mid-1990s, he joined Richard Branson in the establishment of V2 Records, a label that enjoyed great success with The Stereophonics, Underworld and Tom Jones.
Since 2002, he's been a manager, music publisher and legal/business consultant, most recently advising Amanda Ghost on the music aspects of a series of movies she has produced for Warner Music.
