Biography

Michael Dickson is a Canadian actor, known for Black Mountain Side (2014), Rock and Roll Christmas (2019) and Heartland (2007).

Born in Victoria, British Columbia, and raised on a small family farm in southern Manitoba, Michael has been performing since childhood. After beginning in theatre, he moved to Vancouver to pursue a career in film and television, appearing early on in series including Northwood and Neon Rider.

Following several years as a singer-songwriter and recording artist, Michael returned to acting, earning the lead role in the acclaimed independent feature Black Mountain Side, which enjoyed a successful international festival run. Since relocating to Eastern Canada in 2017, he has continued to work steadily in film and television, with credits including On the Basis of Sex, Heartland, Christmas Plus One, Head Over Heels, To Philly with Love, and A Christmas Angel Match. He can next be seen in Broad Trip and A Match for Mr. Christmas.

In addition to acting, Michael has worked as a producer in both film and music and is also a screenwriter, with several projects currently in development.
