- James is a producer and writer at www.leapfilm.com. Known for 'DJ' the striking drama feature which shot at some of the biggest clubs in the world in Ibiza, London and Warsaw.
James followed a Masters degree in Philosophy at Edinburgh with a successful period as a theatre director. He has also directed documentaries in such far-flung locales as Madagascar and Zanzibar. James worked for 3 years at Jeremy Thomas' Recorded Picture Company working with many writers and directors including Milos Forman, Terry Gilliam and Bernardo Bertolucci. He since worked for a year in acquisitions for New Line Cinema (Lord of the Rings), representing the company at European festivals including Cannes, Munich, Locarno and San Sebastian. James has since been Director of Acquisitions and Sales at ScreenHits. This has given him an extensive list of contacts from around the globe spanning of broadcasters, studios, distributors and sales agents. with huge clients from all over the world. Including Hasbro ('Transformers') eOne ('The Walking Dead') and Hat Trick (48 Seasons of 'Have I Got News For You'). With this experience behind him James started Leap Film in 2018 with a slate of TV and Film.
