Biography

Ana Tiwary indiVisual films - international Ana is a director/producer and runs the Sydney-based production company indiVisual films - international. Her company was recently awarded the Screen Australia Enterprise Business Grant, which also facilitated bringing on board Guneet Monga and Kiran Rao on board as consultants. She holds a Masters in Film from the US and has lived/worked in many different parts of the world including Germany, India, West Africa, USA, Canada and Australia - which is her home for the past twenty years.

From mainstream Bollywood cinema, TV shows and commercials, to National Geographic Channel, Ana has experience working across drama as well as documentary. She have produced over 25 documentaries for ABC TV and other networks.

She created the Diversity in Australian Media Facebook community 15 years ago and is an advocate for authentic storytelling, equity, access and cultural safety. She spearheaded the Media Mentorship for Women program, was a finalist for the NSW Woman of the Year Award, and served on the Women in Film & TV Australia Board.

In 2015, she was selected by Screen Australia for the 'Ones to Watch' producers. Ana was selected for the Screen Australia Talent Plus program, which involved a three-month attachment at See-Saw Films and mentorship with Emile Sherman (Kings Speech, Lion). Ana currently has a slate of exciting projects in development that have been selected for various international markets such as JETS/EFM Berlinale, JAFF Market, WAVES Film Bazaar Co-production Market, MIFF 37 South Market, Ties That Bind Udine Italy and TASVEER Co-production Market Seattle USA.
