- Born and raised in Harlem and Washington Heights, Perri Yaniv has worked consistently in the New York theater and film scene for over a decade in a variety projects before appearing on NBC's "The Blacklist" with James Spader.
His multi-faceted looks have allowed him to convincingly portray an array of backgrounds and personality types.
Never shying away from a challenge, he has mastered accents and learned languages for specific projects; Yiddish to portray a young Hasidic tahara ("Purity"), Italian to portray Mussolini in "Power of the Trinity," a play about the Haile Selassie during World War II, and has performed in Spanish, Russian, and Hebrew.
He has appeared in over 30 theater productions with Obie-winning and Drama Desk-nominated companies, and his portrayal of Donald Miller received the Planet award for Outstanding Featured Actor in Barefoot Theater Company's revival of Joe Pintauro's "Raft of the Medusa."
