This story captures events transpiring over a few days in the life of a gentle hearted street musician named Robert. Robert lives a solitary existence and finds solace through only two things: first there is his trumpet, which has kept him company since childhood; second there is his increasingly frequent visits with Michael, the young drug dealer who befriends him. Through Michael, Robert gets the only real human connection available in his life. But human connection is not the only thing Robert wants from Michael. Robert must pay a dear price for the brief escape Michael sells and is forced to pawn the very emblem of his soul, the trumpet he has owned since childhood.

After graduating from the Griffith Film School and completing a Masters in Drama at Queensland University of Technology, Tony started his own film production company in his hometown of Brisbane, Australia and was soon after directing dozens of music videos for some of Australia's best bands - Regurgitator, Spiderbait, The Superjesus and Savage Garden
  • earning him multiple awards.

After stints at MTV and Cutting Edge he moved on to directing commercials with Streetlight Films in Sydney. He also traveled to locations around the world as 2nd Unit DP-Editor for Paul Street. His 2005 film 'Crossing' was shortlisted for Sydney's Tropfest. In the same year, he directed a series of music videos for Russell Crowe in the south of France.

In 2006, he moved to Los Angeles and in between editing promos and commercials, cut two narrative features, 'Borderlands' and 'The Loneliest Road In America'. I also directed and edited the feature documentary, "The Fall of Occupy LA".

He returned to Brisbane in April 2015 with a deep body of work and rejoined Cutting Edge as Senior Editor.

In 2018, he became a Lecturer in Film at QUT Creative Industries and subsequently began a PhD in small crew filmmaking. He still edits casually for Cutting Edge and is pursuing his own short film and feature projects.
