In 2019, Sgarzi achieved a significant milestone by serving as the director of photography for "The Land of Dreams," a feature film directed by Nicola Abbatangelo and produced by Lotus Production. This project marked his first major cinematic endeavor, showcasing his adeptness in visual storytelling.

Building upon this success, Sgarzi took on the role of cinematographer for the television series "Sandokan" in 2025. Directed by Jan Michelini and Nicola Abbatangelo, and produced by Lux Vide and Fremantle, this series is a contemporary adaptation of Emilio Salgari's classic adventure novels. Sgarzi's involvement in "Sandokan" underscores his versatility and commitment to bringing dynamic narratives to life through his lens.
