Biography

Evgenia Peretz is known for Juliet, Naked (2018), Our Idiot Brother (2011) and Anatomy of Lies (2024).

Daughter of former Harvard Professor and publisher/editor emeritus of The New Republic, Marty Peretz.

Sister of director Jesse Peretz.

One of four children, she and siblings, including Jesse, were raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Their mother, Anne Labouisse Fransworth Peretz, is a painter and psychotherapist and an heir to the Singer Sewing Machine fortune.

Studied dramatic writing in the master's degree program at New York University, and has written for Vanity Fair magazine.
