Kamya Punjabi, the renowned Indian television actress, has etched her name in the industry with a captivating journey marked by versatility and acclaim. Born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, to a Punjabi Hindu family, Kamya inherited her passion for acting. With her mother Nanda Punjabi and siblings Sonia and Mala Punjabi by her side, Kamya embarked on a career that has seen her excel in various roles.

Beginning as a model, Kamya transitioned seamlessly into acting, making her presence felt in Bollywood with minor roles in films like "Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai," "Na Tum Jaano Na Hum," "Yaadein," and "Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani." However, it was the television realm where she found her true calling. Kamya's breakthrough came with the TV show "Astitva...Ek Prem Kahani," where she portrayed the character of Kiran.

Her journey continued with impactful roles in shows like "Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki," "Kammal," and "Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat." In 2006, Kamya achieved widespread recognition for her compelling portrayal of the negative lead, Sindoora Pratap Singh, in the daily soap "Banoo Main Teri Dulhann." The show, starring Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya and Sharad Malhotra, earned her the prestigious Indian Telly Award in 2007.

Kamya's foray into reality television included a memorable stint in season 7 of the popular show "Bigg Boss," showcasing her resilience and personality until her eviction on day 91. In 2019, she added another feather to her cap by making her theatrical debut in the stage play "Pajama Party," alongside fellow television actress Kavita Kaushik.

On the personal front, Kamya's journey through relationships and marriages has been noteworthy. Her first marriage in 2001 to Bunty Negi ended in divorce in 2009. Subsequently, she shared connections with actors Nimai Bali, Karan Patel, and Manveer Gurjar. On February 10, 2020, Kamya entered a new chapter in her life, marrying Mumbai-based businessman Shalabh Dang. Blessed with a daughter named Aara and step-son named Ishan, Kamya Punjabi continues to captivate audiences with her talent, resilience, and zest for life.
