Lucas Moesch is a Brazilian/American editor. Graduated in Cinema from PUC-RS, Brazil with a specialization in Expanded Cinema. He has worked with brands such as Verizon, Facebook/Meta, Budweiser, Mcdonald's, Estée Lauder, Shutterfly, Downy, P&G, Smirnoff, Four Seasons, Campari, Spotify, Walgreens, and Etsy.
His most recent short film, "Bad for a Moment," won Special Mention of the Jury at the prestigious 77th Cannes Film Festival.
He edited Megan Thee Stallion's most recent music video, titled "Hiss," achieved remarkable success upon its release by reaching the top spot on both the YouTube and iTunes charts. This visually captivating video showcases Megan's alter-ego, Tina Snow, and effectively portrays a transformative journey through its symbolic set design and alignment with the impactful lyrics. The concept of symmetry plays a crucial role in "Hiss," highlighting the contrasting nature of Megan and Tina. The music video and short film, "Sonho", by Nego Bala, won several awards, including Silver Lion at Cannes, Grand Clio, Grand Prix at Ciclope Latino, Best Narrative at the Berlin Music Video Festival, and Best Music Video at the 2022 Sharks Awards. Lucas was also nominated for Best Editing at the AICP Post Awards 2022, Ciclope 2022, and MVF 2022.
The short film 'What Remains' won the Grand Jury Prize for Best European Short Film at the Premiers Plans d'Angers Festival and the National Competition for Best Short Film at the IndieLisboa International Film Festival, it was selected for the 44th Film Festival Clermont-Ferrand Cinema and the 48th Telluride Film Festival, curated by Barry Jenkins. In 2019 his short 'Malko' was a finalist for the Young Directors Award and a finalist for the Ciclope Festival. In 2017, he edited his first feature film "Man Proposes, God Disposes" a completely independent production that won Special Mention at the 2017 Calgary International Film Festival and was part of the Panorama section at the 2018 Shanghai International Film Festival. His first editorial work with a documentary feature was "Dalua Downhill", selected at several festivals worldwide and nominated for Best Brazilian Film on Netflix in 2013.
