(2026) Maria Rotger is a screenwriter, director and producer based in Barcelona. Her work spans film, scripted television, stage and audio, with a cross-cultural perspective shaped by international media, multilingual content and localization.

She wrote, directed and produced The Woman Doesn't Exist, which received international festival recognition, including wins at the Rome International Movie Awards and the Vegas Movie Awards, where she received an Award of Merit for Best Woman Filmmaker. Her other directing and producing work includes Meetings That Should Be Emails and I Want to Be a Fashion Designer.

Her long-form screenwriting work includes The Best Day of Your Life, an award-winning comedy-drama series concept developed through a pilot and full-season treatment. In 2026, she was redeveloping the project as the feature El Meu Millor Dia. Her television series Women on Play also received international recognition, including an award at the PixelsGarage Awards of Excellence.

She created the bilingual fiction podcast Magic Seekers, which she wrote, produced and voiced in English and Spanish.

Alongside her own creative work, Rotger has extensive senior experience in media localization, client services and production operations across global multilingual programs. Her professional film work includes dialect coaching on Mallorca Confidencial. She also completed RTVE Instituto training in scripted-series production and the relationship between creative, production and business responsibilities.
