Rapid fire images: sunlight, flames, smoke, dusty black male feet, and an ambulance... Fire!

And, yes, someone is badly hurt. It is bad. The eerie beeping of a heart monitor and a ventilator pump clicking and whooshing in the background, confirms this. Suddenly, everyone is gone. We are left with a body in fetal position on a deserted village street, covered in thick soot. It is as still as ice.

Not for long.

It is bright white! A new day, and we are in sunny California. Angel (Caucasian) wakes up to her beautiful fiancé, Lilly (Caucasian). All seems well with the world, except not really.

From the moment Angel wakes up, her world turns surreal: a female voice recites the Lords Prayer in Swahili, a doctor informs the owner of the voice that it is time: to withdraw life support. As if that is not enough to drive a girl mad, a black nurse peers into her eyes with a penlight, then disappears. Not long after that, vivid red roses and lavender lilies suddenly appear in Angels bedroom. She freaks out, they disappear. Angel confides in Lilly that she feels she is losing her mind. Well, it is worse. Her world crumbles to pieces; she is suddenly in burned clothes, blood and soot all over her. She can not breathe... She is violently yanked back!

All goes black.

Angel opens her eyes, she is in a hospital in Kampala, Uganda. She is a stunning black woman covered in burns who was just taken off life support and instead of dying, woke up. Now, the real drama begins.

Sarah Hassan is a multi-award-winning actress, producer and TV host. She is one of Africa's most established actors and TV personalities. While in Los Angeles, she wrote, produced, co-directed and acted in a short film, 'The Company You Keep' in 2018 that saw her bag 4 Best Actress awards and 4 Best short film awards. Through her production company Alfajiri Productions, Sarah also stepped more actively behind the camera producing the short film, 'The Company you keep' while in Los Angeles, the East African/West African romantic comedy feature film 'Plan B' that has now garnered over 5 Million organic views on Youtube, the short film 'Reflections' , as well as the East African/West African Family Comedy-Drama feature film, 'Just In Time' that is now streaming worldwide on Netflix. She also served as lead producer for the Kenyan Thriller '40 Sticks' that is now streaming on Netflix and earned 8 awards at the Kalasha Awards including Best Film. Sarah was ranked in the top 100 influential young Kenyans in 2016 and 2021. She is the founder of Alfajiri Productions and has a degree in Actuarial Science as well.
